NEW RULE: Make sense.
--------------
I've decided on a purpose for this page: It'll be like an open mic; anyone can talk if they want to. All you have to do is contact me and I'll set you up for a free-roamin' time. Is that even a phrase? Anyways, I don't care what anyone says, I just want them to say it! So drop me a line and I'll give you the time (all without any rhyme, though). Happy rantings!

Does anyone know how long the PLAN test will take, it shouldn't go much after noon, right?
hey now, SATURDAY is the day to go to red dragon. and i'll be damned if it isn't. plus, i can't go on friday... i'm working at the RAC restaurant. woop dee doo. so, yeah, saturday. i'll be going to docs on saturday to invite anyone who's there to go with me... it's a damn good movie! i haven't even seen it, but it has edward norton in it. i looooove him.
Red Dragon is gonna kick total ass. I'm goin with amerie schrossnagre, but we don't know what time yet, so you should go to that show. Cause emily and I are really cool people. So go on friday cause it's damn anthony hopkins and a movie about a serial killer. Come on people opening night is the only way to go
Well, it doesn't really matter since I can't go on Saturday anyways. But after talking with Andy, I figured that it really wouldn't matter. I just always see the reminder for cashiers (NOONE BORN AFTER THIS DATE, 1985 ALLOWED INTO R MOVIES). Oh, and the reason I'd want to see it at CineMagic is because it's free. Why pay if I don't have to? Probably so I can go with friends, but hey, um, nevermind.
Scott, just go to a different theater. they don't always check for your ID, most people don't care that much. and... maybe you could pull off 18, who knows. i'm definitely going to red dragon. EDWARD NORTON! oooh, sancho can give RIDES now, don't we feel important. muahaha, just joshin' palo. or should i say... buddy. scott, i don't get it.
Okay, I'm testing out a new commenting system, so people can make direct comments to individual posts, rather than making a new post for small splatters. This should hopefully clear out some of the clutter of "yeah, that's right" and "you're stupid, stupid" posts and leave more of the actual rants. Tada! You people should be able to discern where your post belongs.
I would be somewhat interested in helping out with a server, especially if there was a chance that I could eventually host the Well Fed Con on it too..... give me some details as they come.
Some are lady bugs and some are lady beetles, the lady beetles bite and one time they were so thick outside we all had to run in cause the whole front of the house was covered with them and they just kept coming!
I plan to see Red Dragon saturday and will gladly accept any companions. Deciding between the seven or nine show will be done by popular vote, as will the theater of choice.
PS: I can give stenson a ride one way or both or something...
Yeah, those ladybugs SUCK. I heard that they aren't really ladybugs though, they're some asian beetles or something. It's always the asians. Oh, and I only mean that in a non-racist way, because people like Nick and Stenson aren't really asian, they're like bananas. They're yellow on the outside but they're white on the inside. And yes, I stole that from some asian guy who spoke at out church, so no, I'm not an amazing humorist. This paragraph wasn't even about ladybugs, but they suck.
I feel sorry for CineMagic, sorta. I found out the reason I've had to go home early the last two nights is because they can't afford to keep us all on for the whole night. It's especially unfortunate tonight, because we were having a great turnout. I don't really know why we had such large crowds, since weekdays usually suck. But as far as CineMagic's crowds go, we had a huge one.
As long as I'm talking theaters, I wish I could see Red Dragon free, but they won't let me. It's rated R, and I couldn't go unless my free companion was over 18. I don't think my parents would take me to see that, so I won't be able to go (unless I can buy a cheap friend). This same rule kept me out of Ecks vs. Sever, which I wanted to see, but recently I heard it sucked, so I don't feel so bad now. I guess I can wait for the R movies to come to DVD... *sigh*
Oh, and Andy: what? Did you get your license, are you getting it, or are you close to getting it? Ahh, screw it, I'll find out from you later.
what is with all the FUCKING ladybugs?! kill every one you ever see in your entire life!!! they have coated the ceiling in my brother's room and one was just crawling under my hand. once, i flicked one and it turned around in mid-air and came back and smacked me in the face. so, on that note KILL ALL THE LADYBUGS!
Wow, I'm having my blogger cherry popped. Good evening to you all, and how is everyone? I doubt you're gonna respond but whatever, wow, my entry is going to soon be lost in a mere 4 some hours because of the daily clean up whatever thing. Grapes are good for you. I'm going to Docs Saturday. Fun fun fun. Red Dragon comes out soon, who wants to drive me to see it?
yeah, god doesn't read minds, he just somehow knows everything all the time. angels and satan can't read minds, that's why they're so sneaky and shit. um... david leibow said stenson was writing on this? i see nothing of that. am i confused?
yes, i agree with scott, God doesnt need to read our minds, He created them, He knows what we are thinking. the angels dont. satan....is a nerd. uhm im guessing that he cant. scott what is a a server and why do you want one? and then why do we want help to pay for one? and the greedy part of me says whats in it for me?
I really don't know my server costs, because I'd have to know how much money I have to spend. Then I'd pull my evil strings to get myself the lowest deal I can find. For a year, I can probably buy a couple hundred megs for about twenty bucks, but those are completely abstract numbers. For my purposes, though, I want at least fifty megs and a pretty high transfer limit. This site can be more than just a blog, but those are just my foolish kiddy dreams.
Okay, and I don't think God reads our minds, because there's no point in it. He wouldn't have to. Hmm, I'll bet he knows someone who wants to give me a free server...
Hey all I got two questions. First is for Scott, How much are we talking about for a server and what would that get us? Second is for everybody. Its pretty much a given that God can read our minds since hes all powerful but what about Saten and his demons? Do they know what we are thinking? Or what about the angels can they also read out minds or is it just God?
Okay. Anyone who I've blabbed to lately has found that I've been looking into servers and other sorts of fun. Why, might you ask? Well, for here, of course! Right now I feel that this site is confined by the free services it's on. Why do I bring this up? To put it frankly, good service costs money. I don't like to spend money. However, I probably will, because if I do fork over some cash, I'm going to max out my cash and get as much server as possible, so I can then use it for my own evil, evil purposes. I'm only slightly curious, but would any of you be willing to put some money in the pot? If I really am going to go through with this, anyone who chipped in would get a proportionate slice of the pie, if you catch my drift. You pay for a fifth of the server, you get (roughly) a fifth of the space. Initially space wouldn't be an issue, but over time it might come up, so hey, set down the rules before they're needed, yunno? But right, would anyone be interested in a joint effort?
Spelling is not the devil, spelling is concentrated essence of the divine. Calc is hard, but cool, and also the loving partner which goes hand in hand with science. Does might make right?
I don't like calculus, it's too hard and Norman doesn't explain it well enough, but I do like physics, because it's fun to learn sciency things. I like long posts because it gives me something to read in my otherwise meaningless existance, but I don't see how writing in notepad would prevent the crashing from erasing everything you wrote, unless you save increadibly often. I like to work, because it's fun and I get paid to do it. Everything in life should be like that, but only for me so that inflation doesn't rise like a thing that rises really fast in a certain situation.
Scott, your post is too long and you spelled barrel wrong twice. Seussian poetry isn't really poetry, and there's more than just gothic or coffeehouse, how about british romantic, or blank verse, or something cool like that? American poetry, overall, really sucks. I watched fight club again, I just got a 98 on my philosophy test, life is good. Except for the fact that I accidentally slept in my bed instead of going to calculus this morning. Oh well, such is the bread of an everyday life, from mornin' til noon, 'till the shadowless night. Mike, don't feel bad, most everybody is some form of a fool. Until next time, this is Josh O'Byrne, over and out.
Okay. I'm passively PISSED OFF right now, because my computer crashed JUST as I clicked publish to send off a good two pages of my writing. So this time I'm composing in Notepad, so I can ward off whatever evils might await me again.
I HAD summed up most of my thoughts from the last week, but hey, that's all been shot like fish in a barrell. I think I spelled barrell wrong.
I had a fun time at homecoming, lame predance notwithstanding. No offense to anyone who could be reading this, but I really don't think hanging out in a basement and eating pizza should be a legal way to warm up for a dance. Not even a middle school dance. Again, sorry. But hey, I had a beeyootiful date to accompany myself, and I couldn't thank her enough for going with me. Once we got to the dance I think the real fun started up, because we sort of slipped away from our group and I guess hung out with the bandies/megagroup.
I tried to get my whiteboy groove on, but to be plain and simple, it really never got on. Even if it had, there really wasn't much of it to go around, so the end result wouldn't have been much different than what I displayed. I spent most of the time consciously aware that I had very little groove going on, so I was adjusting carefully and constantly, so as to minimize the appearance of being "stuck in a rut." But trust me, I tried, and perhaps I would have broken a sweat without it being stupid hot in the gym; I was working hard.
Oh hey, speaking of work, I can add something that wasn't in my first draft. I just got my first call from a coworker asking if I could sub for them tomorrow. So you know what? Come to CineMagic Monday and Tuesday night, and get a free look at me in my uniform. I'll be ushering Monday, concessioning (what?) Tuesday. I don't actually know how to usher, so if you want some added laughs then go Monday.*
I want to be a poet. I couldn't pull off the gothic style poetry, nor the coffee-house style, but I think I can do Seussian. I love rhyme. I could blame my upbringing, but it's simply that I love rhyme. It just has such ring to it... yeah, I'm in love, and her name is Rhyme.
Okay, so my future isn't in poetry. So then I thought I could transition to prose. I might be able to write stories or papers or something. As much as I just hate to float my honesty boat, I think I'm pretty good at fleshing out ideas. Ever since Milburn told me I hold back too much in writing, I've tried harder to get those ideas expressed, and I think I'm having a lot of continual improvement.
Band has traditions up the wazoo. I like most of the quirky ones, like hats and all, but the musical ones, frankly, suck. I think we should really expand more and play some new stuff. This year is a lot better, but we as a band really haven't scratched the surface of our musical potential. I've seen some of the band's library, and we probably have at least a good 20 songs we aren't playing. We have a lot of great stuff there, from swing, to rock, to lyrical, jazz... we have it all! Do we play any of it? Nope. We have about five songs we rotate. I don't really blame Jarvis, because I think she has plans for us to really move out, but it's mostly the band and their traditions. Stupid tradition.
Okay, with the help of Notepad, I think I'm done for now. Until I talk later, remember that Big Brother is watching, two plus two is five, and war is peace. Later!
Actually, to prevent that all you really have to do is make sure you don't hit yourself in the front tooth with a glass. I had to get mine replaced twice for doing that (both times I had just woken up and it was really early in the morning so just shut up, I don't think any of you know what i'm like when I wake up.)
I don't necessarily like Domino all that much and I thought it is played up a bit (it's not even that fun to play, i like sanchez and carry on a hell of a lot better) but when Kerry directs it it's fun because he's just a crazed lunatic when he directs. I just think that technically if we're going to be having after-parties we should all go to the same place, that IS tradition. I don't necessarily care where but there is a separation happening between the different sections and it wasn't there as much last year. I'm the first to admit that colorguard can be annoying but that's not an excuse.
Oh yeah...and on the marching band traditions topic...from the viewpoint of a first-year marcher, I don't think the traditions were all that great...I mean, Domino's a cool sounding song, but "the inofficial school song" is going a bit far. And Baker's Square doesn't really work...because the whole colorguard goes...so we just go to Applebee's instead now. And cool hats. That's a great tradition that should never be broken. Oh well. Onward, upward, outward.
And people laughed at me when i was excited about getting the whites stripes $7 cheaper...
Marching Band is chock full of fun traditions, such as Kerry and Domino (woot woot), drumline wearing cool hats ALL the time (::tear:: AFTER I found a hat buddy and got my hopes up for marching off), and Baker's Square. Depressingly enough those all seem to be floating away. Ouchies.
Administrators suck. It's a proven fact.
Have fun at homecoming everybody (or at anti-homecoming/girl's night out/let's get drunk off our asses night).
David Crowder Band rocks!!!!!!!! Oh and I got the CD for about $3 less than what it was at the concert so hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaha
An interesting observation I have........ it seems like any phantom appearance of tradition is like a hallucigen for the Century administrators. Exibit A: the pre-game show. Someone commented on how we do the same one every year and Lanny's reply was that It Was A Tradition. That is the only formal exibit because its what has been bugging me lately..... but its only one of many similar examples. Hey you guys at Mayo.... is there a sense that yes, you as a student body have traditions that are worth upholding.... ect.? Or is this tradition thing really a phantom?
I'm pretty conservative on most issues. I'm a heck of a lot more liberal than my dad though. Basically, on most political issues (taxes, welfare, etc.), i'm pretty liberal. On most moral issues (abortion, death penalty, etc.) i'm pretty conservative. Thus, if I were to run for a position, I'd probably go independent because then i'm not pretending to believe something just to get elected.
Andy, if I had a daughter (which I don't, well, legitimately anyway), and some dude asked me if he could take my daughter and one of her friends on a road trip, I'd say no too. Maybe if it was a guy that I knew and trusted, but probably not even then. If there was at least another couple going, i'd consider it, but no way.
Remember the good old days when I had reams-long posts. Ahh, the nostalgia.
